Sustainable Agriculture Farming at its Best
Silva Star Farms is a small start-up sustainable agriculture farm located three miles west of downtown Sebastopol, CA. What once was a typical Sonoma county mono-culture apple orchard is now a poly-culture farm with chicken, lambs, goats, and pigs foraging and fertilizing underneath the trees. We also plant produce between the trees after fertilizing the soil with the animals. We practice crop and pasture rotation to help prevent pest problems and keep a sanitary and ecologically sound environment throughout the farm. We purchase all of our feeds locally and when possible all of our supplies. Stay tuned as this site will grow with more information.
